We already have our itinerary and we are trying to hit up as many FOLKy places in Portland as we can. Any suggestions?

After a weekend off, and a busy/sick day...
We’ve been very busy with contacting bussinesses, as usual, but I’m also trying to start really working on my features in the magazine. With the release pretty much around the corner and barely enough time to sleep. It’s really time to crack down.

It's a busy day at the office!
Your Editor-in-Chief, Ben Asbhy, and I are emailing as many businesses and blogs as possible to insure the word about the magazine has been thoroughly spread. We hope that you’ll help us in our endeavor to inform people about our new magazine. Why invite a friend or two to our facebook page. Or just lead them our Tumblr. Do whatever you want to spread the word. Just tell them you’d...

Anonymous asked: When is the magazine scheduled to print and be available?
I saw it was for the fall, but wasn't sure if that meant it was coming out in September or October.
Thanks

damesalamode asked: Actually I'm an amateur milliner! I make reprodution Colonial and Regency bonnets and hats. They don't produce ribbons and trims that are anything like what they had "back then" so I collect antique and vintage trims instead. Sometimes I use them on my creations, but mostly I just look at them and swoon over how pretty they are!

damesalamode asked: I love finding vintage sewing trims- a bit of lace, silk ribbon, or metallic trim makes my day!

So let’s ask something from all of you. What is your favorite find? Vintage, antique, handmade, anything! Message me here at FOLK Magazine to let me know what your favorite little treasure...

Esquire Magazine picks the best restaurants in... →
patchdrury: Neat to see the growing/changing food scene in Lexington getting some national attention. I was especially happy to see Yamaguchi’s listed. That place is really something special. I was a little disappointed at a couple of names that made the list and a couple that didn’t. I’m too much of a gentleman to trash a restaurant on the internet, though, just because it’s not my...
