Apparently our bulk mailing office is closing. We are glad that we could ship the issues first, however, we are worried and slightly upset that they still have not ben delivered. We’ll keep you posted.

So, not only did we get to go to Country Living Fair in Columbus and have a great group support us there - Thanks go to Rachel and Patti Engel, especially - but we had phenominal success. The gang (Hillary, Olivia, Ben, and I) left out of Lexington Saturday morning at about 5 a.m. to start our long traipse to Columbus and were all killed. While there we sold quite a few magazines, fell in love with the decoration and the inspiration it gave us, and met a lot of great people. We set up a table and had Ben sign magazines with the occasional request for Hillary and me to sign - I suppose marketing and creative directors just aren’t as revered :) - and then wandered the fair in search of inspiration. It was a day full of friends and fun and there are plenty of wonderful pictures to prove it thanks to Olivia and her camera.
On Sunday we were able to go out to Boyd’s Orchard here in Lexington and shoot another piece for the magazine as well as stocking up on fall favorites like cider and apple butter. We had a lot of fun and were able to take a great group out there with us for fun in the orchards. We even found time to have a group performance of the Cha-cha slide thanks to the DJ playing outside of the orchard.
Look for more details about these stories in our upcoming Holiday issue, due out this November 1. Hope you are all having wonderful autumnal days.
Best,

It has been a whirlwind of work for us here at FOLK and we have finally gotten all of our orders our for the first issue! Be expecting your order a.s.a.p. It should be in the mail now and will arrive on your doorstep soon. We have had a fun few weeks of printer problems, technical issues, mailing, packaging, and general work, but it’s all a learning experience! We are already working on the Holiday issue for November/December and we can’t wait for the holiday season!
